The need for increased awareness of organizational managers’ personal responsibilities as well as that of board members, employees, and even third party contractors is more important than ever. Led by CPA Karen Kowgios, this workshop will review audit procedures and the responsibilities of an organization’s finance office, its board members (treasurer, committees, etc.) and of its outside auditor under the new IRS guidelines and certain state attorney general offices. Sarbanes Oxley has changed the focus and personal responsibilities of both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
