Member Benefits

NAMT Members receive the following exclusive benefits throughout the year.
(Click on any item for details.)

Festival of New Musicals
Since 1989, the Festival has introduced musical theatre producers to over 200 musicals and 300 writers.  More than 75% of these shows have had subsequent productions as a direct result of the Festival.  Held every Fall in New York City, the Festival showcases a select group of new musicals before a select audience of NAMT members and industry professionals with the resources to move the work forward.  NAMT members receive priority seating at the Festival and attend two members-only VIP events, where they can network with producers and writers.

2 Annual Conferences
The conferences provide valuable networking opportunities, panels, and workshops with some of the top executives and creative professionals in the industry. The Fall Conference, held directly before the Festival of New Musicals, focuses on new works.  The Spring Conference, held in a different city each year, focuses on administrative and management topics.

National Fund for New Musicals
The National Fund for New Musicals provides grants to NAMT’s not-for-profit members to support early development, workshops, and full productions of new musicals.

New Works Summits and Writers' Roundtables
NAMT members and Festival Alumni writers discuss collaboration on new work. NAMT has held the Summit annually, with organizations such as the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, BMI Lehman Engel Workshop, and the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
